first version of this song hit #42 on british record retailer chart on 5/12/60 by the crickets. within 1 yr, bobby vee had a cover version of this song and took it into the british top 5. leo sayer revived the song in 1980 and hit #2 on both sides of the atlantic

Because she was dubbing copyrighted material and broadcasting it to the public. It's exactly like posting an actual dub or subbed anime up here that's copyrighted. But make sure to subscribe to her again! ValliereVee. She has been in dubs before. She dubbed Kanaria from Rozen Maiden and is playing Louise from Zero no Tsukaima. The dub of both has been released (Rozen Maiden: they don't sell it any longer for some remote reason. Zero no Tsukaima: out only on DVDs) but she's done work before. She's best known for Haruhi and has played in fandubs with other YouTube Users. Cristina's fandub roles have been so far (from what I know) Haruhi Suzumiya, Tsuruya-San, Ryoko Asakura, and serveral others. (She's obviously played more than just Haruhi Characters, but I don't know the names of the other characters she's played, also. like I said, she's best known for Haruhi. Fandubs on Boken Desho Desho and Hare Hare Yukai made it to the top. This was Bobby Vee's first and only #1 hit. Released on August 7th,1961, it immediately began to climb up the Billboard Charts, and by September 18th, 1961 it had reached #1, staying there for three weeks. It is no surprise, given it was written by the legendary Brill Building songwriting team of Gerry Goffin and Carole King, the song featured an irresistible melody along with inspired and sincere lyrics. Add to that an equally sincere and strong vocal performance by Bobby Vee and you have one of the greatest hits of all time. I had the pleasure and honor of meeting Bobby Vee after a show four years ago, and he took the time to talk to my wife and me, and to sign a rare EP from Barcelona, Spain. He even commented that he had never seen it before. He also signed other items and took pictures, showing us what a kind and down-to-earth guy he really is. I'm glad I got the opportunity to shake his hand and to thank him for all the musical pleasure he had provided us over the years. So in his honor I give you this humble video.
