Pole Position Commercial! (Atari)

Jan-6-2009 By Admin

**Attention** I do not own the rights to this spot, I include it on my channel purely for tribute, pleasure and for Atari fans everywhere. Xbox and Playstation commercials have got nuthin' on this old classic. Even the theme song rocks! ***UPDATE*** "HEYYYYYYYYYY!" guy and original lead singer credits for this spot go to Mike Ragogna. Check out his YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/Ragognamusic

Adventure is, as its name suggests, an early adventure game for the Atari 2600. You have to dodge or kill dragons on the way to finding the chalice, and bring the chalice inside the yellow castle to win the game. In this video, I play on the easiest difficulty, and complete the goal in under 34 seconds, timed from the moment I gain control to the moment the screen starts flashing.

IT'S HOCKEY NIGHT at Classic Game Room! CGRHD reviews ICE HOCKEY for Atari 2600 VCS video computer system. You can play as player vs. Atari 2600 or player vs. human being scumbag opponent. This 1981 classic from Activision shows a game ahead of its time with excellent gameplay, even if it doesn't really resemble a hockey game today. Check opponents, score goals and play with a two player team in a 3 minute game. Hockey games today have licenses from the NHL and play on the PS3 and Xbox 360 game consoles, this classic on the Atari has imaginary teams that you can name and call your own. CGR believes that our blue and red team is the 1991 Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins with Mario Lemiux and Paul Coffey! Booya, take that green and yellow team! Ice Hockey is a true classic on the Atari 2600 and this Activision cartridge can be found easily and affordably today. Check it out and pound your bacon loving neighbors to the north (assuming you're American) into the ice without mercy. Or check your reality TV loving, SUV driving neighbors to the south into the boards (if you are Canadian). This is a game for all! Hooray for insulting other peoples' homelands! Classic Game Room is the ultimate retro reviewer and video game review show for old school games and arcade classics like Ice Hockey for Atari 2600!

Riots in Berlin with Atari Teenage Riot performing

one of the best ATR videos in my opinion, simple but making impression

A clip from the series "Antique Roadshow" covering Atari as a collectible.

Tempest 2000 (Atari Jaguar)

Jan-6-2009 By Admin

Tempest 2000 on the Atari Jaguar console. In my opinion the best game on the Atari Jaguar and also superior when compared to ported versions. There's nothing quite like T2K on the Jag ;=)

Little videoclip made almost only with atari noises. Chiptunes music actually, after our in home expert.

Classic Game Room HD reviews the various cartridge designs for videos games on the ATARI 2600 video computer system VCS. Games on the Atari came in many shapes and sizes like Combat, Berzerk, Yars' Revenge, Demon Attack and Q*Bert. Atari games are highly collectible today and many can be quite rare like Actionauts and SwordQuest Waterworld. They came in hard plastic shells like games for the Nintendo Entertainment System or NES, Sega Genesis and SNES, but these Atari games stand out because of the variety in physical styles from manufacturing. Do you want to start a collection of Atari 2600 games to have for years to come and enjoy? Do you playing old school retro games that are better than the newest games on the market? Then you NEED to learn to collect original Atari games, emulators will not do them justice. Atari Pong

Jan-6-2009 By Admin

Atari's very first commercial featuring the home version of Pong. (Does anyone remember this commercial?)

Classic Game Room HD reviews BERZERK for Atari 2600 VCS video computer system! This 1980 arcade classic developed by Stern was made into one of the best Atari 2600 games in 1982. It is the year 3200 and you must destroy the auto-mazeons controlled by Evil Otto! Shoot your way out of dark mazes and dodge enemy lazer fire in this old school retro arcade hit reviewed by Classic Game Room. CGRHD is the retro reviewer that reviews Berzerk the way it deserves to be reviewed, with respect for its old school heritage and awesome gameplay. For game play and footage of Berzerk along with a serious, credible review look her at this CGRHD review of Berzerk. If you are starting an Atari 2600 collection it should start with Berzerk!

Classic Game Room HD reviews the Atari 7800 cartridge design and packaging for the PROSYSTEM line of Atari video games! The Atari 7800 Pro System was a masterful gaming console that was officially released in the mid 80's to an un-appreciative market. It failed to sell, even though it was awesome and played Atari 2600 game cartridges as well as Atari 7800 games. CGRHD takes a close look at these unique games from back in the day, how the cartridges were packaged in their cardboard boxes with colorful graphics. Games like Ms. Pac Man, Galaga, Joust, Galaga, Donkey Kong, Mario Brothers and Centipede shined on the 7800. Some games had 2 tone label designs, others like Karateka and Ballblazer had full color labels. Only Classic Game Room would take the time to carefully pan over Atari games with a macro lens to show you the actual details that made these games special. If you're looking to start your Atari video game collection by acquiring a vast array of games this is a video you'll want to watch.
